Pinterest Ads: The Benefits and a Case Study of Promoted Pins

Pinterest Ads or Promoted Pins are a relatively new form of advertising, but they offer some unique benefits that other platforms don't. For example, Pinterest Ads allow you to target your audience based on their interests. This makes it a very powerful tool for businesses that want to reach specific customers. In this blog post, we will discuss the benefits of Pinterest Ads and provide a case study that shows how they can be used effectively.

Pinterest ads are great for businesses because they allow you to target your audience based on interests, making it easier to reach specific customers.

-What are Pinterest Ads or Promoted Pins?

Pinterest Ads are a form of advertising that allows businesses to target users based on their interests. This makes it a powerful tool for businesses that want to reach specific customers.

Pinterest Ads work by targeting users based on their interests. This makes it a powerful tool for businesses that want to reach specific customers.

-The benefits of Pinterest Ads

Pinterest ads are great for businesses because they allow you to target your audience based on interests, making it easier to reach specific customers.

One of the great benefits of using Pinterest Ads is that you can target a very specific audience. For example, if you sell women's clothing, you can target ads to women who are interested in fashion. This makes it much easier to reach your target market and sell your products.

Another benefit of Pinterest Ads is that they are very affordable. Compared to other forms of advertising, such as Facebook Ads, Pinterest Ads are very inexpensive.

Unlike Facebook ads, where you lose it all when you decide to turn off your ads, Pinterest ads live on forever continuing to send you organic traffic long after you stop with paid advertising.

Pinterest has more referral traffic than ANY other social media platform, that's what it is MADE TO DO. Unlike other platforms that try to keep you on their platform, Pinterest is designed to connect pinner with the content they are looking for and send them to that website.

Pinterest Ads are a relatively new form of advertising, so there is less competition. This means that it's easier to get your ads seen by potential customers.

Pinterest Ads or Promoted Pins are very effective. A study by PPC Hero found that Pinterest Ads have a click-through rate (CTR) of 0.78%, which is higher than the CTR for Facebook Ads (0.28%). This means that people are more likely to click on a Pinterest Ad than a Facebook Ad.

Pinterest Ads can be very effective if used correctly. As we mentioned earlier, they have a high CTR, which means that people are more likely to click on your ad. As we mentioned before, the CTR for Pinterest Ads is higher than the CTR for Facebook Ads.

-How to use Pinterest Ads effectively

Now that we've discussed the benefits of Pinterest Ads, let's look at how to use them effectively. In this section, we will provide a case study that shows how businesses can use Pinterest Ads to reach their target market.

First, you need to identify your target market. For example, if you sell women's clothing, you need to target ads to women who are interested in fashion. You can do this by creating a board on Pinterest that is dedicated to your target market. For example, you could create a board called "Women's Fashion."

Next, you need to create pins that are relevant to your target market. To do this, you will need to use keywords that are relevant to your target market. For example, if you sell women's dresses, you will want to use keywords such as "dresses," "women's fashion," and "clothing."

Lastly, you need to promote your pins. You can do this by using Pinterest Ads. Pinterest Ads allow you to target your audience and promote your pins to them. This is a great way to reach your target market and sell your products.

Case Study:

In this case study, I looked at using Pinterest Ads to reach MY target market.

I started out with a traffic campaign sending pinners to my most popular blog post, focused on getting eyes on my pins and readers to my website.

I ran a short campaign to get my Pinterest tag "primed" - meaning it gives Pinterest the information needed to better target my ideal audience.

I created my pin images, 5 to start, and targeted my audience with demographics as well as keywords. For this campaign, I had a modest budget and only spent $52 to warm up my Pinterest tag for better targeting for my conversion campaign. After a day or two, I went in and turned off the images that were clearly not performing as well as others, leaving two images running for the remainder of the campaign.

I received 72 clicks on my pin image for pinner to get a closer look and of those 72, 43 clicked through to my website. So that's $1.20 per website visitor.

I did little to optimize the performance of this campaign since it was solely to get my Pinterest tag ready for my main objective which is running a conversion campaign to a landing page for my freebie.

For the conversion campaign, I set a budget of $20 per day and repeated the same steps as before - setting up my targetings based on demographics such as age, location, gender, and language spoken. The real power behind Pinterest ads is the ability to target based on keywords, so I again filled the keyword section with 50 relevant keywords to bring in the right pinners for my ad to my free video series on how to become a Pinterest VA.

After a day or so I again went in and turned off the images that were not performing as well so the ad spend could go to the best performing images.

After 4 days here are my results:

Total spend so far: $74.74

Pin clicks: 107

Click to my website: 74

Cost per click: $1.01

I plan to optimize this ad over time and come back and update the data here.
